The PUK design itself was created by the weaver and artist Puk Lippmann. The patterns are inspired by traditional weaving techniques found in a book from the 1920s and developed on her loom for a contemporary design. The luxurious damask napkins are hand-woven with a beautiful pattern based on traditional weaving methods, and they look like they came straight out of an antique French linen closet. In White a classic damask napkin is available in the most beautiful off-white nuance that highlights the pattern’s own poetry. We recommend that you unfold the product completely before washing, and avoid overfilling the washing machine. The product is stretched gently after washing. We recommend hang drying of the napkins, as this provides a smooth result. Be sure to follow the washing instructions as washing at precisely 60°C makes the cotton open up and be washed clean.
